Today we’re joined by Jordan Gal: founder at Carthook, a company that increases ecommerce revenue by automatically recovering abandoned carts, and co-host on the Bootstrapped web podcast. He’s been an entrepreneur for over 10 years, including starting, growing and selling an ecommerce business. He’s currently living in Portland, Oregon with his family, but he’s recently had his fair share of traveling around, which is why he’s joining us today.
Subscribe to Nomadic Entrepreneurs in iTunes to get today's episode! We’ll mainly be focusing on Jordan’s journey across the country and into Europe, while explaining all the reasons why it’s so much easier to work on the go than it was even just a few years ago. You’ll hear all about how he and his family dove into it and how they planned it, including why they didn’t choose to go abroad, his top recommendations for how to do it, and the crazy thing that happened during his travels that made him look at it all in a very different light.
Today’s topics include:
- The power of listening to other people’s experiences
- How Jordan launched a business while traveling
- The truth about traveling with toddlers
- How extended travel messes with your brain
- The difference between seeing it as a vacation and a lifestyle
Maybe after hearing this you’ve been sparked with the desire to live this pneumatic lifestyle, too. If you have, you’re in luck! Jordan gives his advice for people who want to live his lifestyle, but feel held back by the overwhelming amount of elements to be dealt with. But once you do it once, you understand how easy it is to just keep going and never want to look back.
Thanks for tuning in, we hope you’ve enjoyed it. To get in touch with Jordan, email him at jordan@carthook.com.
